1,700 riders joined Busan's Citizens Bicycle Festival on the Nakdong River bike path
The 2025 event is over. Hwamyeong/Nakdong remains Busan's easiest corridor for large public cycling events.
1,700 riders joined Busan's Citizens Bicycle Festival on the Nakdong River bike path. It was a one-day event, but it shows Hwamyeong is still the city's easiest mass-ride staging area.
Local reporting says about 1,700 people joined Busan's Citizens Bicycle Festival on the Nakdong River bike path.
The festival again used Hwamyeong and the Nakdong path, one of the few places in Busan where a big cycling event can run without immediately fighting the rest of the city.
Expect this area to keep showing up in family rides, civic events, and beginner-friendly cycling programs. It has space, rail access nearby, and fewer urban interruptions than most inner-city options.
That is exactly why it gets used.
