Suyeong River Centum-side bike path is open again

The Centum-side riverside line is usable again. The dirt-pile construction detour is gone, so this stretch finally works like a normal connector.

Impact A short missing link is usable again, which restores a normal through-line on this part of the Suyeong River path.

TL;DR

  • The Centum-side Suyeong River bike path is open again.
  • The rough construction detour is gone, so this section works as a normal connector again.

Open again. Much better.

This section matters because it is a daily connector, not because anyone was going there for the views. When it was blocked, the detour slowed the whole riverside line down. Now the route is open again and the temporary dirt bypass is gone.

What changed

The practical change is simple: you can stay on the riverside path again instead of leaving the line for a rough temporary bypass. That is enough to restore the normal connection between the upper river approach and the lower riverside section toward U-dong.

Can you ride it yet?

Yes.

This is not a case where the barrier is gone but the route is still half-finished. The path is usable again. You still get the usual pedestrian drift and slower merge points near Centum, but that is normal Suyeong River behavior, not leftover construction trouble.

Worth going out of your way for?

No. It is a connector.

But it is a connector that works again, and that matters if you use the river line regularly.

Useful details

  • Best use: everyday through-ride between Centum/Jaesong and the lower Suyeong riverside
  • Official reopening notice: not found yet, so this post is dated to early March based on field confirmation rather than a city press release
